Holdings - Clean Air Capital
Clean Air Capital is a boutique financial services
house offering a range of services to clients in the emerging
greenhouse gas emissions market – from trading carbon
credits through to the development of compliance strategies.
This new greenhouse gas emissions market is estimated to
be worth €3bn by the end of 2005.
There are many organisations
whose industrial activity is a source of carbon emissions.
All markets are driven by supply and demand and the carbon
emissions market will be no different. Organisations producing
a smaller volume of carbon emissions than their allowance
can sell their excess allowance. Organisations producing
a higher volume than their allowance can buy additional allowance.
Trading carbon credits will become a key component to the
financial activities of carbon emitting organisations.
Working
in conjunction with Charlemagne Capital, Clean Air Capital
is establishing a range of investment funds in the CO2 market.
The specific purpose of the funds will be to acquire assets
which can be traded in various emissions markets. Initially
the focus will be on the European Union’s
Emissions Trading Scheme but in the future, will broaden
to other emerging greenhouse gas markets.
